ARTICLES

The Department of Geological Sciences, University of Oregon, Eugene, Oregon, USA. published an article in the JOURNAL OF GEOPHYSICAL RESEARCH, VOL. 114, B01408, doi:10.1029/2008JB005679, 2009, on 27 January 2009. The topic of the article was "Interseismic uplift rates for western Oregon and along-strike variation in locking on the Cascadia subduction zone" The article was authored by Reed J. Burgette, Ray J. Weldon II, and David A. Schmidt.

They quantify the spatial pattern of uplift rate in western Oregon and northernmost California using tidal and leveling records to better understand the pattern of interseismic locking on the Cascadia subduction zone. They extend relative sea level time series of the six primary NOAA tide gauges to include all observations from 1925 to 2006.
