Surveying

The common denominator in all of the applications mentioned on our intro page is that of surveying. Surveyors and the field of surveying have been relied upon to measure and determine where things are (or where they should be!). The SRCW has close partnerships with the Washington Council of County Surveyors as well as the Land Surveyors Association of Washington. It is this large and talented community that will help guide and ultimately use the advances that the SRCW will bring to Washington State.

Through participation in NOAA’s National Geodetic Survey Height Modernization program, the SRCW will utilize strict federal guidelines for the collection of highly precise and accurate positional data.
